Prizes

During the International Aquatic History Symposium & Film Festival, the following eight prizes will be presented:

  1. Best Oral Presentation IAHSFF Prize: to be presented to the individual that presented the best oral presentation.
  2. Best Poster Presentation IAHSFF Prize: to be presented to the individual that presented the best contribution in the form of poster.
  3. Best Aquatic Feature Film IAHSFF Prize: to be presented to the individual that submitted the best aquatic related film.
  4. Best Aquatic Documentary Film IAHSFF Prize: to be presented to the individual that submitted the best aquatic related documentary film.
  5. Best Aquatic Training Film IAHSFF Prize: to be presented to the individual that submitted the best aquatic related documentary film.
  6. Best Aquatic Short Film IAHSFF Prize: to be presented to the individual that submitted the best aquatic related short film (up to 10 minutes long).  
  7. People’s Choice IAHSFF Prize: To be presented to the individual whose name will be voted anonymously by the audience the last day.
  8. Prolific Contributor IAHSFF Prize: To be presented to the individual with the highest number of contributions in IAHSFF.

The name of the winners in the above categories will permanently be displayed on an awarding pedestal in a special place dedicated to the IAHSFF series in the International Swimming Hall of Fame museum.

The Organizing Committee recognizes the value of those prizes and will present them with fairness to those demonstrating the most extinguished contributions in terms of rigor, clarity, innovation and inspiration. A judging panel of experts, academics and film directors will decide upon certain criteria for giving the prizes.
